The Grounds

We recently had a family get together here, our ages ranged from 6 months to mid 70’s. It was absolutely perfect, the pie with homemade roast potatoes and lots of vegetables was delicious. Even our dietary requirements, (one vegan and one dairy allergy!) were fully catered for. The service was wonderful the atmosphere was warm and very friendly. I couldn’t ask for anything more. We’re planning another get together here very soon. Might do afternoon tea this time.

Nice local coffee shop with a choice of toast, sausage rolls and cakes. Nice warm and welcoming with a good number of tables for inside seating, with and option to sit on the benches outside if preferred. Tea and cake £4.40 which I think is a fair price. Toilet facilities and doggie friendly in and out. It's a good stop off if you've walked around Wollaton Park and the coffee shops there are busy. The hot sausage rolls with chutney are the best. (I shouldn't be telling you this as they are my favourite and I don't want them to run out dor my next visit!) Parkrun. Good for coffee or tea and cake after the Wollaton park parkrun. May 25 update. The Sausage rolls keep getting sold out. If you do visit please don't buy one as I'd like another one when I visit next.

I had visited this coffee shop before and loved it, but we held the wake after my Mum’s funeral here on 11th December 2024 and it was absolutely amazing. Everyone was seated comfortably and the food was fantastic, all home made and exactly what we’d asked for, it was all so tasty and fresh, beautiful sandwiches, quiche, sausage rolls, pork pie, and home made cakes . There was unlimited tea and water and we could order other drinks too. Sarah and her team provided the perfect end to what was a tremendous celebration of my Mum’s life. I cannot rate this place highly enough, it’s in a lovely setting in Wollaton Village and is a stone’s throw away from beautiful Wollaton Park. Please visit and check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Nice independent coffee shop. Coffee was great and a tasty bacon sandwich, too. Nice friendly service.

Hands down one of the best customer services I've ever had. Lady at the front greeted me with a smile, glady accepted my order, asked me to take a seat and told me she'd bring my coffee to me, and this was as a takeaway coffee, never been anywhere where a staff member would do such a thing, definitely popping down more when I'm in the area. Glad people like her are still around Reasonably priced Parking may be limited as it's a small street P.S. I got a mocha with an extra shot

What a find! What a treat! Amazing coffee, possibly the best chocolate brownie I’ve ever tasted (and I’ve lived in the USA for several years), very warm and friendly atmosphere in the beautiful setting of Wollaton Village. Sarah, the owner, is hugely talented and extremely welcoming. Highly recommend. We’ll be back for sure!

I went by myself and the owner was so lovely. Relaxed and beautiful little place. The homemade cake was delicious. I will definitely return.
